Breath and Dance of Life in an Agroforest

Farm field…this is becoming more and more of a complex ecology. David Holmgren, one of the co-founders of permaculture, says “systems that have native and non-native plants coexisting together, and moving around and dancing together so-to-speak, becomes what he calls “recombinant ecosystems”…this is a unique experiment, every agroforestry system over time becomes a unique experiment. Unlike the simple wheat field or tomato farm which looks [mostly] the same coast to coast. I think the uniqueness of this is nice, as is the fact that we’re tying up a lot of carbon.
