Balanced Scales in Science as in Life

In science, comparing different results/data sets is best done with the same perspective (i.e. range, min/max). So it is in life where we are better off comparing apples to apples, or various things from the same perspective. It is essentially a matter of using a fair and reliable, consistently balanced scale in comparisons.

Given complexity in life, be careful about comparisons. As my brother B told me, “There’s always someone doing better, there’s always someone doing worse.”
